No. 7th July is NOT a national holiday in India.
India officially observes only three national holidays each year 

Republic Day – 26th January

Independence Day – 15th August 

Gandhi Jayanti – 2nd October

These are the only holidays that are uniformly observed nationwide.

7 July does not fall into this category and is not recognized as a central government holiday.

 Why Do People Think 7th July is a Holiday?

Many fake messages claim that 7th July is linked to 

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam — but this is incorrect. 

Dr. Kalam's birth date: 15th October

Dr. Kalam’s death date: 27th July

Neither of these aligns with 7th July, yet misinformation spreads quickly on platforms like WhatsApp and Facebook, misleading people every year.

 2025 Official Government Holiday Calendar

According to the Indian government holiday list for 2025, 7th July is not a national or gazetted holiday.
