Lakshman is played by Ravi Dubey, while Amitabh Bachchan will play Jatayu. Arun Govil, who used to play Ram in the earlier TV series, is playing King Dasharath now. Kajal Aggarwal will play Mandodari, Rakul Preet will play Shurpanakha, and Lara Dutta will play Kaikeyi in other crucial roles.
